Verizon achieves record peak 4G LTE data speed of 1.45Gbps in New York

Verizon, working with Ericsson and Qualcomm, hit peak data speeds of 1.45Gbps in New York as the carrier relied on carrier aggregation, 4 x 4 MIMO and 256 QAM. The nation's largest carrier says that improving its LTE network is important for its evolution to 5G.
